PACE was founded with a vision to revolutionize the standard delivery of ABA therapy by addressing the shortcomings of the standard model. Traditional ABA therapy often faces challenges such as excessive time spent on training therapists and insufficient emphasis on the crucial role of parents and caregivers in the therapeutic process.
At PACE, we recognized the need for a more inclusive approach that empowers parents and caregivers to actively participate in their child's therapy journey. We understand that parents are the most influential figures in a child's life and are uniquely positioned to support their development on a day-to-day basis.
Therefore, the program is designed to prioritize parent involvement and education, ensuring that families receive the tools and guidance necessary to effecctively implement behavioral strategies in their everyday interactions.
By minimizing the time spent on therapist training and maximizing the focus on parents and caregivers, PACE aims to create a more efficient and sustainable model of ABA therapy. Our goal is to empower parents with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to promote meaningful change and progress in the development of their child.
With PACE, families can access high-quality ABA therapy that is not only effective but also accessible, collaborative, and centered around the vital role of parents in their child's growth and success.
I first began working in the world of ABA in 2005 as a behavior therapist. Since that time, I have gained experience in the field with a focus in early childhood intervention. My passion is working with parents to create a comfortable and collaborative atmosphere that focuses on the needs of the child and family.
I have an extensive background working across diverse age groups, ethnicities, and cultural identities. I am thankful to have experience working in clinical, home, community, and school settings. I served populations of early learners, middle school kids, as well as clients in both high school and college.
Perhaps my most valuable experience is what I have learned from my own autistic child who is now 18 and navigating the next stage of life...college!
I love working with families to tailor interventions to the needs of the individual while fostering a positive and inclusive environment for clients and their families. Reach out to me today at lvandeven@paceaba.com so we can discuss if PACE might be a good fit for you and your family.
